#006 Titia Ex
Titia Ex is een beeldend kunstenaar die zich heeft gespecialiseerd in licht- en donkerkunst, en openbare ruimtes transformeert met dynamische, interactieve lichtinstallaties. Ze studeerde film en fotografie aan de Rijksakademie in Amsterdam en Musashino Art University in Tokio, en begon haar carrière in het theater, waar ze de verbinding tussen licht, tijd en ruimte verkende.
Ex gebruikt licht en donker als materialen voor installaties die kunst, technologie en ecologie verbinden. Haar werk biedt nieuwe perspectieven op stedelijke omgevingen en laat zien hoe licht en donker energieën zijn die tijd en ruimte vormgeven.
Met projecten als Light Sensitive Walks onderzoekt ze de relatie tussen natuur, stad en het ritme van dag en nacht. Als stadslichtmeester van Amsterdam gebruikt ze kunst om bewustzijn en transformatie te bevorderen, en versterkt ze de verbinding tussen mensen, ruimtes en ecosystemen.
