De ‘Dreamcoats’ van Marjo Postma zijn getufte wandkleden die een wereld van eindeloze mogelijkheden verbeelden, geïnspireerd door de schildpad. Dit heilige dier staat voor kracht, stabiliteit en de verbinding met Moeder Aarde. De droomjassen bieden een veilige plek om te dromen in een gehaaste maatschappij. Postma (1958) is een multidisciplinair kunstenaar wiens werk beïnvloed wordt door de natuur, alledaagse vormen, dromen en ontmoetingen. Haar werk ontstaat vaak associatief en toont regelmatig de schildpad als terugkerend thema. Postma won in 1984 de Prix de Rome en haar werk bevindt zich in belangrijke collecties zoals de Rijksakademie, het Stedelijk Museum en in privécollecties in Nederland en Italië.
